Supply Chain Manager at Stadler Service Norway!

In Norway, we have established a significant presence in Drammen, Oslo, Støren, Skien, and Bergen, with over 150 employees working tirelessly on maintenance, commissioning, and warranty services.

We are now looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Drammen or Oslo. You will be leading our efforts to optimize and innovate supply chain practices and processes, supporting the success of Stadler Service Norway.


Your Role: As the Supply Chain Manager, you will lead and shape the supply chain strategy, ensuring efficient procurement, logistics, and inventory management processes. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage a team of 10 professionals in Purchasing, Logistics, and Inventory Management, supporting Stadler's operations and ensuring optimal fleet performance. You will drive continuous improvement in our supply chain, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and economic goals, while identifying opportunities for optimization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement an effective supply chain strategy that supports Stadler’s operational goals
  • Performance & KPI Management: Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data from shipping and delivery processes, and propose solutions to bottlenecks
  • Supplier & Contract Management: Negotiate terms with suppliers, ensuring the best possible offers in terms of price, quality, and delivery time. Maintain strong relationships with external partners and internal departments
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Inventory & Procurement: Manage procurement of spare parts, tools, and consumables, and ensure inventory levels are optimal in line with project demands
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure that all supply chain practices comply with relevant laws, standards, and company policies. Report any quality or safety deviations and propose corrective actions
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain processes, including material bottlenecks and availability issues


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within supply chain management, logistics, or procurement, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and driving performance improvements
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience in using ERP/EAM systems to manage inventory and generate reports
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
  • A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making
